Taekwondo athlete Nematzadeh aims to win gold at 2024 Olympics
TEHRAN – Iranian taekwondo athlete Mobina Nematzadeh is determined to win a gold medal in the 2024 Olympic Games.
She secured her spot in the Games in March.
the -49kg taekwondo player is spending her final preparation for the Olympics.
“I want to compete in Paris in my best condition, physically and mentally. Indeed, I am determined to win a gold medal in Paris,” Nematzadeh said.
“I am looking forward to do my best in the Olympics and I know my four opponents and analyzed them. I have worked hard during the past months, but with my family by my side and the support of the federation made it easier for me,” she added.
“I am going to participate in the next Olympics but I will definitely change my weight class,” Nematzadeh concluded.
The taekwondo competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are scheduled to run from Aug. 7 to 10 at the Grand Palais strip. Some 128 taekwondo fighters, with an equal distribution between men and women, will compete across eight different weight categories (four per gender) at the Games, the same amount as the previous editions since Beijing 2008.
