Iran opposite spiker Kazemi banned for two years
TEHRAN – Iran international opposite spiker Saber Kazemi has been banned from all volleyball for two years after he rejected to join the National Team for the 2024 Volleyball Nations League (VNL).
Middle blocker Mohammad Mousavi and opposite spiker Amir Ghafour had also rejected to join Team MElli due to the personal problems but the Disciplinary Committee of the Iran Volleyball Federation announced that Kazemi failed to convince them his rejection.
Kazemi is not allowed to play for any Iranian team and also abroad, the federation said.
The 26-year-old player has so far not reacted to the news.
