Mehdi Taremi Joins Al Wasl

TEHRAN — Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi has joined UAE club Al Wasl, adding experience and firepower to the team’s attack ahead of the new season.

Al Wasl announced the signing of Taremi, who most recently represented Greek side Olympiacos. According to circulating reports, the transfer fee is believed to be around $400,000.

The 33-year-old forward has enjoyed an impressive career across Europe, establishing himself as one of Iran’s leading attacking players. He previously played for Portuguese giants Porto, where he made an impact in domestic and European competitions, before moving to powerhouse Inter Milan. He later continued his career with Olympiacos.

Taremi’s arrival is expected to strengthen Al Wasl’s attacking options, with his finishing ability, movement and international experience providing valuable qualities.

 The Iranian international will now look to make his mark in the UAE and help Al Wasl compete for honors during the campaign.
