Esteghlal defeat Muharraq 3-0 in AFC Champions League Two

The match was held at Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium stadium, Muharraq city, Bahrain and Wednesday.  The match is a part of the AFC Champions League Two, Group A.

Esmaeil Gholizadeh Samian opened scoring for the Iranian side in the minute of 15, while two other Esteghlal players, Duckens Nazon and Jasir Asani added two more goals to widen the gap in 82 and 87 minutes, respectively.

Muharraq’s player Waleed al Hayam received a red card from the referee in the 60th minute and the Bahrani side had to continue the second half with 10 men. 

With the decisive victory, Esteghlal advanced to the next stage of competition, the round of 16.
