Iran grabs golds at 2025 Asian Rowing Championship
Zeynab Norouzi and Kimia Zarei seized the gold medal in the event with a time of 7:30.22.
In the men’s lightweight double sculls final, Amir Hossein Mahmoudpour and Amir Reza Abdali won the bronze medal with a time of 6:43.24, finishing behind India (gold) and Uzbekistan (silver).
The 2025 Asian Rowing Championships kicked off on October 17 at the Hai Phong Rowing Training Centre in Vietnam, the region’s largest rowing event organized by the Asian Rowing Federation (ARF) with Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and local authorities.
Running until October 19, the competition sees 668 athletes and coaches from 18 countries and territories, including Vietnam, Iran, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, and Singapore, among others, competing in 20 men’s and women’s events.
