Iran volleyball to hold camp in Turkey

TEHRAN – Iran national volleyball team will likely hold their training camp in Turkey.

Roberto Piazza’s side prepare for 2026 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) and 2026 Asian Volleyball Championship in Japan.

Team Melli have a chance to win 2028 Olympic Games quota in Asian championship but host Japan remain their strongest rival.

Iran were originally scheduled to hold training camp in Tehran but will have to travel to Turkey due to war condition.

The team are determined to steal the show in two prestigious events while they have been transitioning away from “golden generation” era and moving toward a younger, faster, more system-oriented squad.
