Iran’s Mokhtari wins silver at 2024 Paralympic Games

PARIS – Alireza Mokhtari of Iran claimed a silver medal in the Men’s Shot Put – F53 of the 2024 Paralympic Games on Sunday.

He finished second with a throw of 8.69 meters.

Gold medal went to Moroccan Abdelillah Gani with 9.22 and Poland’s Bartosz Gorczak won the bronze medal with an 8.41 throw.

Athletics at the 2024 Summer Paralympics take place at Stade de France in Paris.

Iran has sent 65 athletes in 10 sports to the Games.
