Roberto Piazza to remain Iran volleyball coach

TEHRAN – Iran national volleyball team head coach Roberto Piazza will not activate the termination clause with Iran.

One of the concerns that arose with the start of war was the continuation of foreign coaches and players working in Iran and the possibility that they might completely leave Iran due to current situation.

Several coaches and players have fully ended their cooperation with the Iranian teams.

Volleyball fans in Iran were worried that, given the current wartime conditions in Iran, the Italian coach might decide to terminate his deal.

Piazza has no intention or plan to terminate his contract with Team Melli.

Iran will have to participate in 2026 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) and 2026 Asian Volleyball Championship.
