Sabre team not to compete at 2026 Absolute Fencing World Cup

TEHRAN – Iran’s men’s sabre team withdrew from competing at the 2026 Absolute Fencing Gear FIE Sabre World Cup.

The event will be held in Salt Lake, U.S. on Jan. 21-22. 

Iran’s sabre team is currently in Tunisia and was scheduled to travel to the U.S. from there but changed mind and withdrew from the event.

Team Melli is going to hold a joint training camp with Russia in Tehran, capital of Iran to get prepared for the 2026 Italy FIE World Cup.
